this never happens!

BREAKING NEWS: weird travel happenstance:

from zurich, switzerland (which is beautiful btw) at the airport...

so i go to check in through the delta business elite line, and they have some sort of additional security set up. the guy can't find my name on the manifest so he sends me to the ticketing desk. i figured it wouldn't be a big deal, just a mixup since just yesterday i moved my flight up one day.
the lady at the ticketing desk says that i am booked on two flights: the one i expected through atlanta, and another through paris. that was my coworker's itinerary but somehow i got booked on that as well. so she says, "would you like me to cancel the paris ticket?" without thinking i answer in the affirmative, then say, "wait, which arrives first?" the original flight was to arrive at lax at 6pm, but a two hour delay has no caused them to rebook my connecting flight from atlanta, now arriving lax at 9pm. and the paris flight? 3:45! and, i get to fly air france all the way! which, trust me, is a lot better than delta's "first class" from atl to lax. this never happens.
