Go Blue!

So THAT was one of the more amazing things I'd seen in a while. I first heard about Jet Blue Flight 292 when there was a breaking news headline on the New York Times web page. We all had the same horrible thought - one of the best things about flying Jet Blue is that each seat has its own DirecTV access. Which meant, of course, that those poor people on the plane could watch the coverage on CNN.

It sort of had a horrible snuff film quality to it, watching the plane come in to LAX and having no idea how it was going to turn out. All the pilots jabbering on the TV kept saying that it would probably land fine - but what are they going to say? That the flight was doomed?

In any case, all's well that ends well and a big damn A+ to those Jet Blue pilots. When the plane came to a rest, the crumbled front wheel was ON THE CENTER LINE of the runway. Phenomenal.
