Las Vegas, again

And so we return to Las Vegas for Jason's company's annual Christmas party! It's always a fun trip, and nice to be in Las Vegas when it isn't 130 degrees outside and 52 degrees inside because of the air conditioning. Today it's probably in the mid-40s outside.

Last night was the party at Kahunaville here in Treasure Island where we're staying. Jason's company has gotten so big - where I used to know pretty much everybody and their significant others, now Jason doesn't even know everybody he works with. It was fun seeing Brad and George again after we went to their wedding. I taught George how to play blackjack on the video machine while Brad and Jason opted for the real tables. It wasn't a profitable exercise, shall we say, although twice during the night I put $1 into a slot machine while I was waiting for someone - and hit $25.

Today I got up and went to Paris for breakfast. The good thing about having been to Vegas so many times is that I feel no pressure to get up early and go do things because I've seen pretty much all of it before and know at some point sooner or later I'll be back. An actual relaxing vacation in Vegas? Weird.
